What are you pouring?

Start with the evening you have in mind — a bottle of wine, a round of cocktails or a table of people in the sun.

Everyday drinks & hosting

The short list that covers a Friday evening: an opener that works, cold ice and something to pour into.

Wine & champagne

Open it cleanly, pour it at temperature and keep what is left drinkable through the week.

Cocktails & bar tools

Shakers that seal cold, jiggers you can read at a glance and strainers that pour clear.

Chilling & serving

Buckets, cooler tubs and carbonators for long summer afternoons and a table full of people.

Choose your setup

Build the bar you will actually use

Four honest starting points. Buy the pieces for how you drink and entertain, not for how a bar looks on a shelf.

The starter bar

A waiter's friend, a jigger and a decent ice tray. Three pieces, a drawer's worth of space, and you can host without borrowing anything.

The wine drinker

A corkscrew you trust, two stoppers that still hold pressure a week later and a cooler sleeve for whites that need to come down fast.

The cocktail maker

A sealed shaker, a Hawthorne strainer, a bar spoon and a muddler. Add large-format ice moulds before you add more recipes.

The summer host

An insulated cooler tub, a hammered ice bucket with tongs, and a carbonator so nobody has to carry cases of bottled water home.

Expert advice

The questions we answer most.

Short, honest answers from the shop floor. Materials, capacities and care are listed on every product page.

Which corkscrew should I buy?

A waiter's friend if you open a bottle now and then; a lever or geared corkscrew if you open several a week or deal with older corks. Judge the worm and the hinge, never the finish.

How do I keep drinks cold without watering them down?

Bigger, slower ice. A single large cube or sphere melts far less than crushed ice, and stainless cooling cubes chill spirits with no dilution at all.

Do wine stoppers actually work?

The good ones do. A vacuum saver or a sprung champagne stopper should still hold pressure days later — that is the only test worth applying.

Is a carbonator worth it?

If you drink sparkling water regularly, yes. A steel carbonator replaces cases of bottled water, fizzes still water in seconds and is built to be serviced rather than replaced.
