Which tins should I start with?
A 20cm springform, a 2lb loaf tin, a 12-hole muffin tray and one flat baking tray cover most home recipes. Add a bundt, a quiche tin or a banneton only when you bake that way often.

Bannetons for the overnight prove and bakers for a crust that crackles.
Loose-base tins that lift out whole, and a mat to roll pastry without it sticking.
Heavy trays that stay flat at oven heat and racks that keep the underside crisp.

Choosing the right bakeware
What a tin or bowl is made of decides how it browns, how it releases and how it lives in your kitchen. These are the constructions across the Cookin range.
The workhorse of the range: MasterClass, KitchenCraft and Patisse tins, trays and loose-base pans in coated steel. Heats quickly, releases cleanly and is light enough to handle hot.

Expert advice
Short, honest answers from the shop floor. Every product page lists sizes, materials and care for the piece in front of you.
A 20cm springform, a 2lb loaf tin, a 12-hole muffin tray and one flat baking tray cover most home recipes. Add a bundt, a quiche tin or a banneton only when you bake that way often.
Non-stick steel browns better and holds a sharp shape — choose it for cakes, loaves and pastry. Silicone is flexible and forgiving for muffins, mini bakes and anything you want to pop out; set it on a tray for support.
Thin trays warp and hot-spot. A heavy-gauge tray stays flat at oven heat, and a cooling rack underneath the finished bake stops the base going soft while it steams.
Hand-wash non-stick tins, avoid metal tools on the coating and dry them fully before storing. Dust bannetons with rice flour and let them air out rather than washing. Silicone goes in the dishwasher.

Baking rewards the right equipment. Non-stick cake tins, springforms and loaf pans release cleanly and hold their shape; Nordic Ware's cast bundt pans brown every ridge evenly; heavy baking trays stay flat at oven heat while a cooling rack keeps the base crisp; and stoneware or glass mixing bowls, scrapers, sifters and whisks make the prep bench quick.
