This simple yet delicious recipe is a great first-time recipe for our mini foodies. They can squeeze and measure out the ingredients and help stir. This recipe is always a hit with the mini foodies, but also offers a healthier alternative to conventional cereal bars. The honey naturally sweetens the treats while peanut butter gives a nice protein punch. Rest assured that their first cook will be a yummy one.  ½ cup honey
 ½ cup smooth peanut butter
 4 cups Rice Krispies
For the mini foodies -

Squeeze out 1/2 cup of honey

Spoon our 1/2 cup of peanut butter

For the adult -

Add the 1/2 cup of honey and 1/2 cup of peanut butter to a saucepan, stir and bring to the boil

Line a 22cm x 22cm casserole dish with parchment paper

For the mini foodies -

Measure 4 cups of Rice Krispies

For the adult with the help of the mini foodie -

Add the 4 cups of Rice Krispies to the saucepan and mix well until all the cereal is covered with the peanut butter and honey mixture

For the adult -

Pour the cereal mixture into the casserole dish

For the mini foodies -

Use another piece of parchement paper to firmly press down on the cereal

Make sure the mini foodies get a taste of whats to come while you set aside the cereal to harden for several hours

Pop the hardened treats out of the casserole dish with a sharp knife, cut the treats into squares

Make sure the mini foodies get the bigger cereal squares for all their work done
